Terms of Service

The deal between us.

Last updated 30 September 2026

We have kept these Terms as short and readable as we can. The summary below is a guide. The numbered sections are the binding terms.

The short version

  • Your data stays yours. We use it only to run OneHop for you, never to train AI or to sell.
  • Only bring what you have the right to bring: your own exports, accounts and devices.
  • Use OneHop to keep up real relationships, not to surveil, spam, screen candidates or build lists.
  • Paid plans renew until you cancel, and cancelling takes a couple of clicks in Settings.
  • Price and Terms changes get 30 days’ notice, and paid plans only change at renewal.
  • Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply. No forced arbitration.

1. This agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and OneHop, based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (“OneHop”, “we”, “us”). They cover the OneHop website, apps, companions, connectors and related services (the “Service”). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these Terms.

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use OneHop for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation.

2. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
  • One person per account. Give us accurate details and keep them current.
  • Keep your sign-in credentials safe. We strongly recommend turning on multi-factor authentication. You are responsible for activity in your account and for the companion apps and AI assistants you connect to it.
  • Tell us straight away at security@onehop.network if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. The Service

OneHop is a private relationship memory. It organises information you bring from your own exports, connected accounts and devices, helps you understand and act on your network, and, if you opt in, connects you with other members through introductions, asks and offers. OneHop does not send messages, emails or connection requests to anyone on your behalf unless you approve that specific action.

Some features are labelled beta, preview or early access. They may change or be withdrawn, and are provided without the service commitments that apply to generally available features.

4. Your data

You own your content. Everything you upload, connect, write or create in OneHop (“Your Content”) remains yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process and display Your Content only to provide the Service to you and to the people you choose to share with, and to keep the Service secure. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.

We do not use Your Content to train AI models, to advertise, or to build any product for anyone else, and we do not sell it. Those promises are part of this agreement.

Your responsibilities. You confirm that:

  • you have the right to upload and connect what you bring, meaning your own exports, your own accounts and your own devices;
  • your use of OneHop complies with the laws that apply to you, and you use each connected platform in line with its terms;
  • where you use OneHop in a business, you have any notices or consents the law requires for the personal information of people in your network. In that case you are the controller of that information and we act as your processor. Our data processing addendum is available on request from privacy@onehop.network.

Export and deletion. You can ask for a copy of Your Content in a portable format at any time, and disconnect any source or close your account whenever you like. See how long we keep information.

5. Connected services and imports

When you connect Google, Microsoft, a CRM, a community platform, an AI assistant or another service, you authorise us to access it within the permissions you grant, and you can revoke them at any time. Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or changes that stop an integration working.

OneHop is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn, Google, Microsoft, Meta, X, TikTok or any other platform. Their names are used only to describe the files and connections you can bring.

6. Public-source look-ups

On some plans you can ask OneHop to complete the profile of someone already in your network from public professional sources. When you do:

  • you confirm the person is someone you genuinely know or have a relationship with;
  • each run shows its cost and uses credits or fees only after you confirm;
  • results are public professional details only, not personal email addresses or phone numbers, and may be incomplete or out of date;
  • we will not run a look-up for anyone who has opted out, and we delete results if a person objects or a provider loses the right to supply them;
  • if a look-up fails because of an error on our side, we restore the credits used.

7. Features with other members

Introductions, intro paths, asks and offers, Envoy, goodwill, communities (Spaces), events and contact cards involve other people. They are optional, and you can switch them off in Settings. When you use them:

  • Be truthful about who you are and what you’re asking for.
  • Respect the answer. A declined or unanswered introduction is a no, so don’t work around it.
  • Information you learn about another member or their contacts through OneHop is for the introduction or ask it relates to. Don’t copy it elsewhere, add it to a list, or use it for bulk outreach.
  • Envoy and other automated features make suggestions. You remain responsible for what you send and agree to.
  • Community operators set their own rules for their Spaces and are responsible for how they use member data they receive.

We may remove content or limit these features for anyone who misuses them.

8. AI features

OneHop uses AI to answer questions, suggest people, summarise and draft. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. It is not professional, legal, financial or employment advice. Check important facts against the sources OneHop shows before you rely on them. You are responsible for anything you send or act on. AI-generated drafts are yours to edit and use.

9. Acceptable Use Policy

OneHop exists to help people keep up real relationships. To protect members and the people in their networks, you must not use the Service to:

  • stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten or surveil anyone, or track a person against their wishes;
  • make decisions about individuals’ eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing or similar, or screen or rank job candidates;
  • upload data you don’t have the right to use, including someone else’s exports or account data, or data obtained unlawfully or in breach of a platform’s terms;
  • build lists or databases from OneHop, or sell, license, publish or redistribute information about other people obtained through it;
  • send spam, including unsolicited bulk or automated messages to people you found through OneHop, or messages that break anti-spam laws;
  • scrape, crawl or bulk-extract the Service, or use bots or AI agents to access it other than through the connectors we provide;
  • identify, locate or learn about people beyond what the Service shows you, or try to reverse-engineer other members’ networks;
  • run face recognition or other biometric analysis on photos, or infer people’s sensitive characteristics;
  • add information about children;
  • impersonate anyone, misrepresent a relationship, or create accounts for others without their permission;
  • break the law, infringe others’ rights, or upload malware or harmful content;
  • probe, test or overload our systems without our written permission (report vulnerabilities to security@onehop.network instead), or bypass usage limits or access controls;
  • resell or provide the Service to others without our agreement.

Anyone can report misuse to support@onehop.network. We investigate reports and may remove content, suspend features or close accounts (see Suspension and closure).

10. Plans, payment and cancellation

  • OneHop has a free plan and paid plans. Current prices and inclusions are on our pricing page and are shown before you pay, including any GST or other taxes.
  • Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, as you choose) until you cancel. We charge the payment method on file through Stripe. We will remind you before an annual renewal.
  • Cancel any time in Settings → Billing. It takes the same few clicks as signing up. You keep paid features until the end of the period you have paid for, and we will not charge you again.
  • Price changes take effect only at your next renewal, with at least 30 days’ notice by email. You can cancel before the change applies.
  • Fees are not refundable for partial periods, except where required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), where we end the Service for reasons other than your breach (we refund unused prepaid fees), or as these Terms otherwise say.
  • Credits for look-ups have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are used only within OneHop.
  • If a payment fails, we will tell you and give you at least 10 days to fix it before paid features are paused. Your data is not deleted because of a failed payment.

11. Changes to the Service

We keep improving OneHop, so features will change. If we remove something material from a paid plan during your billing period, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel for a pro-rata refund. If we ever shut down the Service, we will give at least 60 days’ notice, time to export your data, and a refund of unused prepaid fees.

12. Suspension and closure

You can close your account at any time. We delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account, or a specific feature for it, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms (particularly the Acceptable Use Policy), if the law requires it, or to prevent harm to others or to the Service. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond or fix the problem. Where the breach is serious, such as harassment or unlawful data, we may act immediately. If we close your account for reasons other than your breach, we refund unused prepaid fees. You can ask us to review any suspension by writing to support@onehop.network.

After closure you can still request an export for 30 days unless the law prevents it. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example, fees owed, liability, and disputes) survive closure.

13. Our intellectual property and feedback

We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, design, models and brand. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these Terms while your account is open. Do not copy, modify or reverse-engineer it except as the law allows. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you, but never in a way that identifies you or reveals Your Content without your permission.

14. Your consumer rights and our warranties

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under consumer protection laws in your country, that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Beyond those rights, we provide the Service with reasonable care and skill, but “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that imports or integrations will always work, or that information from third parties, public sources or AI will be accurate or complete.

15. Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • where a consumer guarantee applies to a service not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability for failing to meet it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again;
  • neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity or goodwill, arising from these Terms or the Service;
  • our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and A$100.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or our wilful misconduct. Our liability is reduced to the extent that you or a third-party service contributed to the loss.

16. Responsibility for misuse

If you use OneHop for business, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs from a third-party claim caused by data you uploaded without the right to do so, or by your breach of the Acceptable Use Policy. We will notify you promptly and let you control the defence. This clause does not apply to consumers using OneHop for personal purposes, except to the extent the law allows.

17. Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, please contact support@onehop.network first. We aim to resolve complaints within 30 days, and both of us agree to try in good faith to resolve a dispute informally before going to court.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring proceedings in your local courts. There is no forced arbitration and no class-action waiver.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as OneHop and the law change. We will post the new version here with its date. For material changes we will email you and show a notice in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. For paid plans, material changes apply from your next renewal. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then and we will refund any unused prepaid fees. Changes required by law, or needed urgently for security, may apply sooner. We will tell you why.

19. General

  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order or addendum you sign with us, are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
  • If any part is unenforceable, the rest continues, and that part is read down to the extent needed to make it enforceable.
  • You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them to a successor who takes over the Service and agrees to honour them and our Privacy Policy, and we will tell you when that happens.
  • Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • Not enforcing a right straight away doesn’t waive it.
  • We may send notices by email to your account address or in the app. You can send notices to support@onehop.network.
