Who it's for
For people where who you know matters more than what you know.
A CV gets you considered. An introduction gets you chosen. The client, the partner, the investor, the mentor: the best ones arrive because someone vouched for you. OneHop is for the people and the groups who live on those introductions.
01Professional communities
Every member's network, working for every member.
Your community's real value is who your members know. OneHop lets members share what they're working towards, finds who in the community can help, and makes the introduction easy, while each member's own network stays private.
Asks that find their answer
A member shares a goal or an ask. OneHop matches it to the members best placed to help or introduce, so it never scrolls away in a chat channel.
Introductions members welcome
Nothing moves until the member asking accepts an offer of help, and introducers check with the other side first. Members choose what they share.
Proof of what the community delivers
See introductions made, asks answered and outcomes reported, ready for renewals, sponsors and your next event.
An illustrative example
A 400-member founder community, one month in
- Members shared their goals for the quarter: first hires, pilot customers, angel investors.
- OneHop matched each goal to the members who could help, and suggested who should meet at the next event.
- Sixty introductions later, the organisers could show which ones led somewhere.
02Small businesses & solo professionals
Referrals on purpose, not by luck.
Most of your best work came from someone who knew someone. OneHop keeps that network warm, shows who you've gone quiet on, and finds who can introduce you to the client you want next.
Everyone in one private place
Your inbox and calendar (read-only), your contacts, the data export LinkedIn gives you and the cards you swap at events, together, with how strong each relationship really is.
Know who's gone quiet
Spot the past clients and referrers you haven't spoken to in months, while a catch-up still feels natural.
A short weekly plan for new work
Set a goal like "three new clients in hospitality". OneHop suggests the handful of people to talk to this week, who can introduce you, and drafts the ask.
An illustrative example
A bookkeeper looking for her next three clients
- Mia set a goal: three new clients among Sydney cafés and restaurants.
- OneHop surfaced a former client, now quiet for a year, who supplies coffee to forty venues.
- One catch-up and one forwardable note later, she had two introductions in the same week.
03Alumni networks
Your alumni list is the warmest network there is.
Universities, schools, accelerators, bootcamps and former-employer alumni groups share something rare: a reason to say yes. OneHop turns a list of alumni into introductions between people who would happily help each other, but never knew to ask.
Start from the list you have
Bring alumni in from a spreadsheet, chapter by chapter. Each person joins on their own terms and chooses what to share.
City chapters and class years
Give every alum a home chapter and tags like class year or faculty, so a graduate who just moved to London finds the alumni there first.
Alumni helping alumni
Asks and standing offers, like mentoring, career advice or a warm introduction at a company, matched to the alumni best placed to help.
An illustrative example
A graduate moving cities
- Josh moved to Melbourne for work and set Melbourne as his home chapter.
- He asked for advice on breaking into climate tech. Two alumni from different class years offered to help.
- He accepted both. One introduced him to a founder she had worked with, after checking with her first.
Questions
Is OneHop for individuals or for groups?
Both. Anyone can map their own network and find who can introduce them. Communities, associations and alumni groups can also bring their members in together, so members can help each other while each person's own network stays private.
Can members see each other's contacts?
No. Each member's network stays private. Members can opt in to show that they could make an introduction, at a coarse level, and nothing happens until the member asking accepts.
Does it replace our Slack, WhatsApp group or member portal?
No. Keep your community where it lives. OneHop works alongside it so asks get answered and introductions actually happen.
What does it cost?
OneHop is free during launch. Communities joining now are set up with us personally: bring your community.
